why would you want to be a third gender I thought the whole point of being trans was to be the other gender
Please understand that the concept of “trans” by your definition has a strictly Western construct. In many cultures around the world, there are people who don’t identify as male or female, and have no desire to change their gender. In South Asia, the Hijra people do not identify as male or female, they are the third gender. THIRD GENDER is seperate from male and female. THIRD GENDER ONLY!!!! It’s been said that some Hijra people are offended if you call them “trans” or “transgender.”
Fact is, “Trans” / “Transgender” is never the right word to describe the Hijra, because “Trans” is a white, Western concept.
