Found this on Kathleen Hanna’s blog. Save it in your reading list if you don’t have 49 minutes to spare, but believe me once you start watching this you’ll want to see it all the way through to the end! It’s both completely kick ass (Jean from Mecca Normal), and unbelievably ridiculous (some of the stupid bitches in the audience).
I’m disappointed that almost 20 years later women are still having to talk/sing about the same fucking issues.
I’m also disappointed that almost 20 years later there seem to be less outspoken women in bands, and they sure aren’t getting the airtime they did back then.
This is really cool if you get the chance to watch it.
